The Fluid Machinery and System Company department is a part where the engineers are involved in conceptual P&IDs which is considered as a standard document throughout the plant life cycle. These P&IDs also involve various types of customer approved documents such as P&ID, equipment list, pipeline list, etc. and get the approval from them before proceeding for the fabrication process. However, due to the involvement of multiple people working on the same P&ID, it results in repetition and duplication of information. For this reason, the customer used to spend an incredibly long time to complete all the documentation work.

As a manufacturer, the company was looking for a tool that would help them to reduce time in verification and approval of documents such as P&IDs and the reports generated at various levels which had to be submitted to the customer. Various teams worked on a single project with different databases, thus resulting in duplication of data and required time for verification of the P&IDs and reports.
